Picnic at the River Park

Our after-school tradition this summer is going on picnic dinners at the river park (Holmby Park). For some reason, Max absolutely loves this. I really enjoy the quiet, focused family time outdoors too, and it's especially nice while Damon is on hiatus between shows.

Also gives the boys a nice place to rough-house...

Riding a scooter!

"Watch Mommy", Max said to me today, "I learned to ride a scooter!"

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he's learned to stop the scooter...

Dinner in Culver City

We had dinner tonight with our friend Jon at Fraiche, the restaurant in Culver City that he works at. Yum. They served all the appetizers in little mason jars, with the lids still on them. Awesome cocktails too.

I'm loving Culver City more & more these days, especially the adorable little revived downtown area. Before dinner, we let Max run off his energy around the Lion Fountain in the little pedestrian plaza. He LOVED it!
